"(his) characters are real, clear as day, living, breathing, angry human beings. I feel like I'm standing next to them, eavesdropping. Wonderful stuff."

Here are some sample reviews:

"This book will entertain you, because Hook is an excellent writer, but, more importantly, will make you think -- which is what fiction should always do" - Mario Guslandi, Infinity Plus

"If the moody, reflective, almost static approach to fiction is your cup of tea, then I would heartily recommend it - it probably doesn't come much better" - Sean Parker, The Zone

"Hook displays skills as a writer of multiple styles. Residue has styles that will suit all tastes. Some will delight, others will torment the reader" - Karina Kantas, Future Fire

"It is clear that Hook is extremely
skilled at observing and describing the small details of life"
- Alison Littlewood
